Inspection & Return Policy

At Crown, trust starts with clarity. Buying a luxury watch is a considered decision, and our policies are designed to provide confidence while protecting the integrity of every timepiece we offer.

Pre-Owned Watches

For pre-owned watches purchased online or over the phone and shipped to you, Crown offers a three (3) business day inspection period.

  • The inspection period begins when the shipment is signed for by the customer.
  • If you decide the watch is not the right fit, you must notify us and ship the watch back by the end of the third business day.
  • The watch must be returned unworn and in the same condition in which it was received, including all original contents (box, papers, booklets, hang tags, accessories, and documentation).
  • Returns must be shipped via express, trackable shipping, fully insured for the full purchase value.
  • Crown is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged return shipments.

Upon receipt, the watch will be inspected. Approved returns will be refunded to the original payment method minus a 20% restocking fee, as well as any original shipping charges or any damage or wear, if applicable.

The restocking fee reflects the cost of re-inspection, authentication verification, inventory handling, and re-listing of luxury timepieces.

Important notes:

  • Any watch sold at a negotiated or discounted price is final sale and not eligible for return.
    This includes any pricing adjustments made during in-store, phone, or private lounge transactions.

  • All in-store purchases are final sale and are not eligible for return.

Custom-Sourced Watches

When Crown sources a watch specifically at a client’s request, the process is designed to be handled in-person, with the opportunity to inspect the watch before purchase.

Before purchase (in-store inspection):

  • You may inspect the watch in-store prior to purchase.

  • If you decide not to proceed before purchasing, there is no restocking fee.

After purchase (once the watch leaves our hands):

  • If you complete the purchase and the watch leaves our possession (taken off-premises or shipped) and you later request a return, any return is by approval only.

  • Approved returns of custom-sourced watches are subject to a 40% restocking fee, plus any original shipping charges and/or damage/wear, if applicable.

Custom sourcing terms can vary depending on the request. Any special terms (such as deposits or sourcing fees) will be confirmed in writing at the time of the request.

Never Worn / New Watches

A watch can only be sold as Never Worn once.

When a customer purchases a Never Worn or New watch from Crown, they expect – and deserve – a piece that has never been worn, returned, or previously handled by another buyer. Many retailers allow returns on new watches, which can compromise that standard.

To ensure every client receives a truly untouched timepiece:

  • All Never Worn / New watches are final sale
  • This includes special order watches and newly sourced pieces

This policy protects the integrity of new watches and ensures every customer receives exactly what they expect.
